What we're looking for
TSUNAGU Project is seeking a talented pastry cook who possesses infinite curiosity. You'll work on-site at our cafes, or at our central kitchen alongside our great team of kitchen staff creating Japanese pastries and other baked goods. Ideal skills
- 2+ years experience as a pastry cook
- Attention to detail
- Appreciation of flavour and cooking techniques
- Willingness to learn new skills and ideas
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of Japanese flavours
- Organised and punctual
- Willingness to work more than 6 months
What's involved
- Wages and Salary will depend on each individual Part time employment | starting from Level 1 Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119) with skills bonus as you progress
- Full time employment (38hrs)

Responsibilities
- Developing products, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering supplies
- Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Reporting and communication with management
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of pastries, cakes and other baked goods
- Ensuring all pastry preparation areas meet hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Freezing and preserving foods as required
- Training staff in pastry-making techniques and decorating methods
