Join Melbourne's Japanese Bathhouse Experience
AUN Bathhouse is seeking hospitality-driven Bathhouse Associates to deliver an exceptional guest experience within Melbourne's Japanese-inspired sauna and bath house.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being present on the floor, engaging with guests and creating a calm, welcoming environment. While you'll help oversee the daily operation of the bath house, your primary focus is ensuring every guest leaves feeling relaxed, cared for and eager to return.
From greeting guests and managing bookings to maintaining impeccable cleanliness throughout the facility, you'll play a key role in bringing the AUN experience to life.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience from arrival through to departure.
- Uphold AUN's brand values, service standards and tone of voice across every guest interaction.
- Manage bookings, enquiries, waitlists and guest communications via phone, email and in person.
- Respond professionally to guest feedback and online reviews, ensuring any concerns are resolved promptly.
Bath House Operations
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the bath house.
- Maintain high service standards throughout every shift.
- Ensure guest sessions run efficiently and on schedule.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Building Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Maintain exceptional hygiene and presentation standards throughout the venue.
- Prepare bath house facilities between guest sessions.
- Clean bathrooms, storage, communal areas, front-of-house and staff areas.
- Restock amenities and consumables.
- Support general building upkeep including dishes, waste management and basic maintenance.
Administration & Operations
- Assist with diary management, booking confirmations and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
- Work confidently across systems including MindBody Booking System and Google Workspace.
- Conduct regular stocktakes of retail merchandise, amenities and operational supplies, ensuring inventory levels are accurate and well maintained.
About You
You genuinely enjoy looking after people and creating memorable guest experiences.
You're calm under pressure, highly organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You take pride in maintaining beautiful spaces and understand that attention to detail makes all the difference.
You'll also have:
- Previous experience in hospitality, wellness, spa, hotel or boutique service environments
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Confidence using booking or point-of-sale systems (or the ability to learn quickly)
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Trading Hours & Shifts
Trading Hours
Monday – Sunday 6:00am – 10:00pm (Last entry at 9:30 PM)
Typical shifts include:
- Morning: 5:00am – 1:00pm
- Day: 12:00pm – 7:00pm
- Evening: 6:00pm – 11:30pm
Availability across a rotating roster is highly regarded.
